Lt. Commander Marc Boyd, a U.S. Special Operations Command spokesman, says the report was merely an academic exercise. "The comments are not 'actionable', merely thought provoking," Sure thing, Wink~Wink.

This 2006 report for the Joint Special Operations University, "Blogs and Military Information Strategy," offers a third approach -- co-opting bloggers, or even putting them on the payroll. "Hiring a block of bloggers to verbally attack a specific person or promote a specific message may be worth considering," write the report's co-authors, James Kinniburgh and Dororthy Denning.

I am very hurt, as they have yet to contact CoCo the Blogging Dog. I would do it in a New York second, and would like to be the first to offer my paid per post services to the US government. Thus far, they have been unwilling to provide CoCo the Blogging Dog with any type of compensation or return my emails. I do not give up that easy! OK GI Joe, you are probably just wanting a sample to guage my Americanism. I understand. I am a spoiled American dog. I don't care where you are, America is better! Life is good. I have the largest collection of balls in the world! For lunch, I eat my patriotic stew of chicken and rice. At naptime, I am bundled in the American flag and rest easy. G-d bless America!
