Barking at the Moon Sold Gold Dog Food Review: I recommend making homemade dog food. If you cook chicken until tender, blend in a little brown rice and a dash of high quality dog vitamins, it doesn't get much better than that. Buying commercially made dog food is easier, but the vast majority of commercial dog food is crap. That is why I like to share good brands of commercially made dog foods, when I find them. I was at Petco today reading all the ingredients in the various dry dog foods. The one that caught my eye is Barking at the Moon Sold Gold Dog Food. It has no wheat, soybeans, corn, by-products, sugar, artificial preservatives, salt, sunflower oil or animal fat added. I decided to purchase the Solid Gold dog food, and see how I like it. When I got home and opened the bag, it smelled so good. Have you ever noticed many commercially prepared dog foods do not have a food like smell? Not sure how to explain it, but this stuff even smells healthy. Yes, it was very tasty as well and it gets the CoCo stamp of approval.
