Four Paws Products has announced they are recalling their Rough and Rugged Pimple Ball with Bell. The safety issue with the Four Paw Pimple ball is that it was being manufactured in China with only one hole, when it should have two. While your dog is chewing on it, a vacuum can form, and suck your dogs tongue right into the ball. A 10 yr. old lab got his tongue stuck in the ball, and ended up having to get his tongue amputated. Four Paws has stated in a recent email that they were completely unaware of the safety issue prior, but actually there have been other complaints. You can check the Daily Kos, where a dog owner is talking about filing a complaint back in 2005. The same thing happened to her dog Cole, who had to be put to sleep due to the severe tongue injury he sustained.
