Age is only a number. A more reliable indication of your dog's "real" age, are factors such as, general health, medical history, food and nutrition, exercise and social health. At Dog Age, you can take a free test, find out how old your dog really is, and get valuable tips that will actually make your dog younger!
In the test they ask questions such as date of birth, breed of dog, neutered or not, weight, smoker's in household, oral hygiene, vaccinations, flea and tick treatments, health conditions and diseases, medications, if your dog sneaks into the cat food, dog food and treat's, exercise, rides in the car, usage of leash, fenced in play area, social behavior, and training.
The test is quite extensive, but once complete, they will immediately convert your dog's age into the age they would be, if they were human. I am 3 years old in dog age, but after completing the test, they said I would be 12.6 if I were human. It also stated that my real age is much younger than the average 3 yr. old Pomeranian. Certain health issues I scored well at were; ideal weight, regular vet checkups, heartworm and/or fleas and ticks prevention, nonsmoking home, no general health conditions, no canine disease, no infections, medication use for health conditions, proper nutrition, plenty of exercise, good training, safe yard, and leash use.
I actually lost points for being aggressive at times, and a few bad habit's, but nobody's perfect. After you take the test, Dog Age will list each individual recommendation on how to improve. It is all 100% free and provides insight into how your dog can live a healthier and longer life.
