Firefighters Save Freezing Puppy

A frantic and freezing 9 month old stray Labrador mix was rescued from a frigid, iced over lake in Missouri. Two firefighters carefully crawled on ice partially covering the lake on Dec. 16 to rescue the sweet pup at O’Fallon Park. The canine was turned into the Humane Society, but the firemen ended up finding the puppy a home. The captain Mark Chrun has adopted Flori (They’ve named the puppy after St. Florian, patron saint of firefighters).

It’s nice to have a happy ending. Thanks to the fire department!
